CELEBRITY SPOTLIGHT - A parade of topless women brought a New Zealand city to a standstill.
Wellington’s streets became gridlocked by the ‘Boobs on Bikes’ parade. Thirty topless young women – mostly porn stars - rode motorbikes and open topped cars through the city’s main street in the march.
‘Boobs on Bikes’ is an annual event set up five years ago to promote an erotic showcase in the city. It’s largely male audience sought out vantage points on top of phone boxes, bus shelters and balconies.
An attempt by another New Zealander, ‘naked newsreader’ Lisa Lewis - also a part time lap dancer- to bring the ‘Boobs on Bikes’ festival to her town of Hamilton the day before was thwarted by police. Lisa and two friends were cautioned for riding topless in public.
